Description
The start attribute is not deprecated in HTML5: "The value attribute of the li element is no longer deprecated as it is not presentational. The same goes for the start and type attributes of the ol element." http://www.w3.org/TR/html5-diff/
But in Plone 4.2.4 and 4.3 TinyMCE is filtering this attribute.

Fix for Plone 4.2/TinyMCE 1.2 is in this pull request: https://github.com/plone/Products.TinyMCE/pull/70
Speaking of Plone 4.2, apart the fix itself, there are some public.css issues to be fixed. Those styles will hide the new attribute effects:
#content ol, dl.portlet ol, div.portletStaticText ol { list-style-type: decimal; } * ul, ol { list-style: none outside none; }
I've no idea the target of those rules,. I tried to fix with some additional rules, but it's not working:
#content ol[type], dl.portlet ol[type], div.portletStaticText ol[type] { list-style-type: inherit; } ol[type] { list-style: inherit; }
Now, let's check this on Plone 4.3.
