Edit Collection: Absolute path should not take name of the Plone site in account

Description
4.2 coredev buildout
One would expect that an absolute path "/folder" would find all objects in that folder. But one has to include the name of the plone site: "/Plone/folder".
This is a local site on my PC, without url rewriting: http://localhost:8080/Plone.
I haven't yet tried on a site with url rewriting. Maybe VHM related logic solves this issue on a production site?

I'm not happy with this solution since now there is longer a way to get stuff e.g. from a language-independent folder outside the navigation-root.
We have a Site where manuals are shown in collections living 2 navigation-roots above their real position:
Plone |-- de (navigation-root) | |-- public stuff in german | | | +-- extranet (navigation-root) | +-- collection (showing manuals) | |-- en (navigation-root) | |-- public stuff in english | | | +-- extranet (navigation-root) | +-- collection (showing manuals) | |-- manuals |-- manual1 +-- manual2 ... (language-independent)
I think this is a pretty common use-case and should be supported ootb.
