Reported by: wichert Owned by: vincentfretin
Priority: minor Milestone: 4.x
Component: Internationalization Version: 4.1

Description

plone.i18n appears to have outdated information on parts of Europe. For example 'cs' is listed as 'Serbia and Montenegro'. 'cs' is Kosovo. The Republic of Serbia has 'rs' as country code, and Montenegro has 'me'.

Hanno, how this list is updated usually?

comment:2 Changed 5 years ago by hannosch

@Vincent: it's not ;) Or rather: whenever someone like wiggy tells us to update it, we should do just it.

@Hanno: Ok, I thought there was an official list somewhere...

@Wichert: Could you update the list yourself and commit?

comment:4 Changed 5 years ago by hannosch

@Vincent: ah right, there's an official list. You should double check against it if someone proposes changes. The country codes follow ISO-3166-1. It seems the list is maintained at  http://www.iso.org/iso/country_codes/iso_3166_code_lists/english_country_names_and_code_elements.htm

The cctld's module lists the external reference for its data. The languages follow ISO-639-1.
